A Message from our General Manager

For Misty Mountain Spring Water, Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability is where our business touches the consumer and where the consumer touches our business.

In the past year, we have made significant progress in our five strategic sustainability focus areas – energy, conservation/climate change, water stewardship, sustainable packaging/recycling, product portfolio and inclusive culture. Our sustainability efforts are capturing operational efficiencies, driving innovation and effectiveness and eliminating waste, while simultaneously protecting the environment.

Despite the challenging economic conditions of 2009, our commitment to sustainability has never been stronger. We are proud of the progress we’ve made so far, and 2010 represents yet additional hurdles on our journey. We have set aspirational goals in each of our focus areas and are working to establishing aggressive, measurable goals with targets.

Here are some of our accomplishments for 2009:

• Remaining one of the most efficient water users in the industry
• Expanding our passive heat recovery efforts for employee/people comfort
• Broadening our portfolio of offerings, adding smaller package sizes and more options from biodegradable to recycled bottles
• Continuing our support to recognize the impact companies have on the world’s water supply and the importance of being responsible stewards of our finite resource
• Increasing opportunities to recycle in the marketplace through Food City Recycling
• All of our facilities have passed the NSF Certification for 09-2010
